To Buy Here, Pay Here or Not.

Buy Here, Pay Here Dealerships are on the rise. I live in Columbia, South Carolina and they are popping up all over town. Buy Here, Pay Here Used Car Dealerships offer an alternative to Conventional vehicle Financing. (at the expense of the Buyer).

Seems, the whole or nearly half of all Americans suffer from Credit Cancer. I've been in the Automotive Sales Industry since 2010 and when I tell you some people have some jacked up Credit, you can know that I'm not making it up. Having jacked up Credit is not so much a problem as it is a choice. We all know the stuff happens...  we can loose a job, our income can tank or we just make bad buying and credit choices.

One of the bad credit choices people make is the go to a Buy Here, Pay Here Car Dealership expecting to find a great deal. News flash, it's just not set up that way. When you walk up on the lot and a salesman sees you all he sees is $$$...  he already knows 2 things about you before he even has a chance to ask your name and shake your hand. #1) Your credit is all jacked up, #2, you NEED Transportation, Now!

There are no price negotiations, no bargains, no discounts, not even one dang incentive offered.

Every item on the list cost you money! Have a job? That's just to see how much you can afford to pay each month... and the other 5 will be reflected in the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) that you're gonna have to pay.

A good down payment is required. Typically, 2500 to 3500 dollars is the norm. Payments can run anywhere from 350 to 550 a month depending on the vehicle. Most times the vehicle has high mileage and no Auto Financing Company in the their right mind would finance that vehicle anyway, even if you had a 800 Beacon.

So there you are...  test driving a vehicle that you're gonna end up paying almost twice as much as it's actually worth. Why? Not because your credit is jacked up...  it's because YOU were not willing to at least try to Un-Jack-Up  your credit...  I mean hey! It's your credit and it's your money. Why not use it wisely?
